Installation and Maintenance Guide
When installing titanium fairing bolts, there are two points that require special attention to prevent damage:
1. Be sure to use anti-seize compound: Titanium bolts are prone to "cold welding" or "seizing" under high pressure when screwed into aluminum threaded holes or when in contact with other titanium components, making them impossible to remove later. Therefore, a specialized anti-seize compound must be applied to the threads before installation.
2. Follow the correct torque specifications: Although most products can use the original manufacturer's torque values (e.g., 12 Nm for some vehicle models), titanium alloys have different properties than steel. It is recommended to use a torque wrench and refer to the specific torque recommendations provided by the bolt supplier to avoid over-tightening or under-tightening.
